Abstract
The article touched on the development of a competitive system of the continuing professional education in high school as a key factor in the implementation of the concept of lifelong education in modern Russia. The necessity of conducting market research to develop a strategy for the development of continuing professional education in high school and create additional vocational training programs targeting the needs of the modern labor market.
